We Win When Our Customers Win

Posted by: Bill King | May 13, 2021

I think it’s safe to say that supply chain software companies aren’t in it for the medals. But if those medals represent delighted customers, what they stand for is at the heart of why we’re in business.

Every April, Inbound Logistics editors recognize 100 logistics IT companies that support and enable logistics excellence. Drawn from a pool of more than 400 companies, using questionnaires, personal interviews, and other research, Inbound Logistics selects the Top 100 Logistics IT Providers who are leading the way in 2021. Editors seek to match readers’ fast-changing needs to the capabilities of those companies selected. All companies selected reflect leadership by answering Inbound Logistics readers’ needs for scalability, simplicity, fast ROI, and ease of implementation.

We are humbled by our inclusion on this list once again, delighted that the result of putting our nose to the grindstone for our customers has been independently acknowledged for its capacity to meet the needs of an evolving industry amid a pretty significant reckoning. Reeling from disruptions on a global scale, businesses have been forced to pivot, reinvent, and reimagine their customers’ experiences in order to meet regulatory and consumer demands. It has been a rollercoaster, and through it, we have been relentless in being the safety harness around every loop.

“The business disruptions of the past year remind businesses to focus like a laser beam on improving enterprise operations through investments in technology,” says Felecia Stratton, editor at Inbound Logistics. “The challenges are many and are now top of mind. Improving end-to-end visibility, achieving closer integration with value chain partners, finding efficient sources of transport lift, nailing down chain of custody and sustainability concerns to limit liability, inventory scalability have clearly become survival issues for many.”

According to Stratton, “Tecsys was selected as a Top 100 Logistics IT Provider because its solutions address these critical needs and help companies move along the continuum to truly becoming demand driven enterprises. Tecsys continues to provide the technology solutions Inbound Logistics readers need to achieve the visibility and control that drives successful supply chains. As supply chain organizations increase their use of logistics IT, Tecsys stays flexible and responsive, anticipating the evolving needs of both customers and the market.”

And it’s that voice of the customer that fuels us.

Ron McIntyre, vice president, Technology & Innovation at Fuel Transport says, “Tecsys has helped us move our warehouse administrative tasks from 90% manual to 90% system-driven, which has equipped us with real-time visibility and auditing capabilities, affording us a high degree of confidence in our data. We are able to render that data into better customer service, satisfying complex process and technology needs for a new breed of 3PL client.”

Rolf Hagen Jr., president and CEO at Rolf C. Hagen Inc., explains, “We have journeyed together with Tecsys for nearly two decades, and in them we find a true partner in pursuit of supply chain excellence. We coordinate a deeply complex network of high-volume manufacturers, artisanal vendors, multinational retailers, standalone stores and direct-to-consumer channels, and Tecsys has given us the tools to orchestrate these moving parts on a global scale.”

We are proud of this accolade because it means the work we are doing to equip supply chain organizations for operational excellence is doing what we intend it to do: to build stronger and more resilient logistics engines for companies that are growing and evolving with the markets around them. And whether it’s a forward-thinking AutoStore-enabled 3PL in Denmark, an international digital fulfillment gaming giant, or one of the most celebrated healthcare supply chains in the world, we are thrilled that our customers continue to benefit from technology solutions that are geared towards what drives their competitive and operational advantage.
