Archway Marketing Services Signs With TECSYS Inc.

Minnesota-Based Marketing Services Company to Implement EliteSeries Enterprise Transportation Management System

MONTREAL, May 27, 2003 - TECSYS Inc. (TSX: TCS), a leading Supply Chain Management (SCM) software company announced today it has signed a major agreement with Archway Marketing Services to implement its EliteSeries Enterprise Transportation Management System (TMS). TECSYS' software will provide efficient management of Archway's complex distribution shipping and handling requirements.

Archway Marketing Services^SM provides the industry's most comprehensive suite of marketing executive services including fulfillment, customer service, and information management solutions. Recently, a long-term client looking for a North American third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse solution approached Archway. Archway Marketing Services was there to provide the solution. After reviewing the startup requirements, they searched for the best solution in the market to address its transportation management needs to effectively manage all of the client's shipping and handling processes. Archway needed to find a TMS solution that was fully certified in Canada with such carriers as Canada Post Corporation, Purolator, DHL, FEDEX Canada, and others. Since they had a clean slate, they wanted a complete transportation system versus the traditional manifest-based systems. By tightly integrating a TMS solution with their existing business systems, Archway was able to streamline the business processes, increase the volume of packages shipped per day and utilize current labor resources.

According to Don Plantenberg, General Manager at Archway, "We have worked with this particular client for a number of years in the US, and we needed to react and respond very quickly to their unique North American operation requirements. Implementing TECSYS' EliteSeries Enterprise TMS gives us the ability to be fully compliant and certified with all the large carriers throughout Canada immediately, with the added benefit of being able to load in all of the US rates for cross border shipments." Plantenberg added, "The unique design of TECSYS' TMS application allows us seamless integration in our existing WMS application. This enables us to pass information flawlessly back and forth and tremendously streamline our processes for shipping and handling products. EliteSeries Enterprise TMS will initially be implemented at Archway's new location in Brampton, ON. With its Windows NT platform running the SQL database, the TMS solution will provide Archway and their clients with the ability to track the status of orders and shipments placed. All the rating tables will be maintained in a central database, accessible by all stations throughout the facility. Centralizing the command and control of transportation management will allow Archway executives to make strategic business decisions.
