MONTREAL, January 23, 2007—TECSYS Inc. (TSX: TCS), an industry-leading Supply Chain Management (SCM) software company announced today that Wagner Equipment Co., a major Caterpillar® dealer based in Denver, Colorado, has selected TECSYS' EliteSeries® Warehouse Management System for IBM iSeries® to manage its growing logistics operations of 31 facilities including distribution centres and outlets in three States.
With over 1300 people, Wagner is one of the largest Caterpillar dealers and the exclusive provider of Caterpillar products and services in Colorado, New Mexico and far-west Texas. The company needed to move away from its labour-intensive logistics operations and to acquire a warehouse management system compatible with the Caterpillar dealer environment. As importantly, it needed a system that provides clear visibility across the enterprise and supports, in real-time, its vital customer services operations.
"We initially looked at another piece of software in the CAT environment", commented Brien Borden, Parts Systems and Logistics Manager at Wagner Equipment. "We quickly realized that it does not have the same level of capabilities as those of TECSYS. It also lacked major warehouse management functionality such as multi-warehouse and product traceability."
Wagner's decision was partially based on two referrals, the first from Milton CAT: TECSYS' latest implementation in the Caterpillar dealer environment, and the second from the largest Caterpillar dealer in the world based in Edmonton, Alberta. In addition to these referrals, Wagner was convinced by TECSYS' abilities that included its:

TECSYS' EliteSeries WMS for IBM iSeries, in addition to its vast WMS functionality, includes advanced kitting with multi-level bills of materials and work orders, enhanced pallet and load building, wave picking, as well as TMS courier integration for major providers such as UPS and FedEx. EliteSeries WMS for iSeries offers a browser-based user interface, new queries on key reporting indicators using iTopia™, TECSYS' tool for transforming data into knowledge, proof-of-delivery applications, Web-based order life cycle tracking and tracing, a flexible third-party billing component and versatile activity-based costing.
