Like all TECSYS Support service offerings, we offer a variety of choices so you can select one or more plans for each product. Our service programs are as follows:

Depot Repair for Printers and Scanners

This service is for customers who want a better response than that provided by the OEM standard warranty. You are provided with three faster depot repair responses to choose from. You may choose from either a one-day, three-day or five-day Program. These offers assure that your repaired unit is shipped to you within the designated number of days from its arrival at TECSYS' Repair Center.

Customer Managed Inventory

This proactive service option provides for delivery of customer-owned replacement units to your facility within one day of your call. Additionally, TECSYS commits to returning the repaired unit to your remote inventory within 5 days after the receipt of your defective unit at our repair depot, assuring that the agreed-to level of your remote replacement inventory is maintained. Customer Managed Inventory is your overnight delivery, warehousing, and inventory management service. As an added benefit, TECSYS will pay the overnight freight for shipment to your location.

On-Site Customer Maintenance

TECSYS offers a complete maintenance program at your location.

  • Fixed Annual Maintenance Contracts
    For a one time annual fee, all labor and repair parts (excluding printheads) are covered for one full year. This option eliminates the need for time spent obtaining approvals and purchase orders when equipment failures occur, while allowing for annual maintenance and repair cost budgeting.
  • Preventive Maintenance
    Annual charge includes three preventive maintenance tune-ups per year. Equipment will be completely cleaned, tested and re-calibrated by a factory-authorized service technician. With the exception of printheads, any parts that are found to be worn or defective will be replaced at no charge. Turn around time on preventive maintenance tune-ups is the same as chosen programs repair time. It's a service option designed to extend the working life of your bar code equipment.
Web-based Service History Customer Site

TECSYS uses it's own SERVICE.2000 application to maintain a customer's inventory and a repair history per unit. All TECSYS repair customers may access the TECSYS portal to view the status of their repair and repair history. Some additional features are:

  • Review your complete service history per unit, including depot repairs and calls to our Help Desk
  • Obtain an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number if you have equipment to send in for repair
  • Determine the status of any outstanding depot service orders
  • Obtain a listing of your equipment, and the warranty/contract status of each item
Telephone Support

During normal office hours, technicians provide telephone support, including:

  • Answers to technical questions
  • Printhead installation advice
  • Printer troubleshooting assistance
  • Maintenance tips and suggestions
  • Equipment instructions
