President and CEO
Peter Brereton co-founded Tecsys more than 40 years ago and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s direction ever since. In the early years, he led software development before taking on broader leadership responsibilities across product management, sales and marketing. He was appointed president in 1995 and became CEO in 1998, leading the company through its IPO on the Toronto and Montreal stock exchanges.
Under Brereton’s leadership, Tecsys has expanded its global footprint and deepened its expertise in complex, high-volume supply chains. He spearheaded the company’s strategic expansion into healthcare, establishing a market-leading presence across the healthcare ecosystem while also driving growth across distribution, retail and third-party logistics. Today, Tecsys is an award-winning global company that combines advanced technology, SaaS solutions, data and AI with deep industry expertise to help organizations transform supply chain performance.
Brereton was recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year award winner in Quebec in 2019.

Mark knows that a company’s long-term success is heavily rooted in a disciplined approach to its bottom line. An expert in financial management with a focus on technology and software, Mark joined Tecsys in 2018. He is no stranger to tackling daunting challenges and finding the best path forward. In fact, he relies on these skills every time he hits the open road on his bike in the summer and heads for the slopes in the winter for telemark skiing and alpine touring.
Mark has more than 20 years of international experience and was previously Chief Financial Officer for Aptos Retail. In addition to playing a significant role in the formation and growth of the company, he led the successful transition of the business’ retail management enterprise solutions to a cloud-centric platform. Prior to his work at Aptos Retail, he served as Vice President, Finance, for Epicor Retail, a division of Epicor Software Corporation that was later spun out to create Aptos. In addition to building and leading teams with both companies, Mr. Bentler also played a key role in managing financing and M&A activity. Earlier in his career he worked with KPMG in the United States and Switzerland as a Senior Manager.

Rex Ahlstrom is a seasoned operational executive and technology evangelist with over 25 years of experience in the data, AI, cloud and enterprise software domains. He has a proven track record of driving digital transformation, developing visionary strategies, and fostering innovation. In his prior role as CTO, EVP Innovation & Growth at Syniti, Rex successfully transitioned the company to a SaaS model, driving revenue growth across multiple regions and securing strategic partnerships with global leaders like SAP, IBM and AWS.
Previously, Rex founded and led SOALogix, which was acquired by SAP, and built MSI Software from the ground up, achieving significant market penetration and strategic partnerships. His career also includes roles at SAP, TeleSciences CO Systems, Defense Systems Incorporated, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and SGS Thomson, where he led numerous high-impact projects and initiatives.
Rex holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. He is a recognized industry expert, IBM Champion, and member of the MindShare Alumni Network. In his free time, Rex enjoys extreme skiing, playing guitar, fitness, yoga, boating, and offshore fishing.

Vito knows that when it comes to architecting solutions to complex problems, mobilizing the team is the first step toward a successful result. He makes customer satisfaction his top priority and achieves it through strong service delivery with every engagement. Vito joined Tecsys in 2017 and helps customers build strong project teams while developing individual skillsets related to Tecsys solutions. He’s honed this valuable skill after years of coaching his kids’ hockey team, always encouraging the drive to win while building resilience and life-long learning.
Vito is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in partnering with customers to shape and deliver supply chain and ERP solutions across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Tecsys, he spent more than 26 years at Accenture, where he was the managing director of the Montreal office. In this role he grew, managed, coached, and deployed a 400-person workforce and significantly grew the office’s client base.

Nancy understands that successful businesses are built on teamwork. Having practiced a diverse number of team sports, she appreciates the power of collaboration within high performing teams. Nancy brings 25 years of experience in human resources management. As the Chief Human Resources Officer, she has leadership of the entire HR function, ensuring that talent initiatives are fully aligned with the company’s growth plans. Prior to joining Tecsys, she held executive HR roles at Fiera Capital and Miranda Technologies. Earlier in her career, she honed her HR leadership skills at Citigroup, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Pfizer.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Psychology and Organizational Behavior from McGill University. She recently completed a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion for HR at Cornell University and is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec.

Chuck brings a wealth of legal expertise and strategic insight to Tecsys, ensuring compliance and guiding the company through complex legal landscapes. With a robust background in litigation and commercial contracts, Chuck has consistently demonstrated a keen ability to navigate and resolve intricate legal matters, safeguarding the company’s interests and fostering a secure operational environment. Before joining Tecsys, Chuck served as legal counsel for a prominent healthcare vendor, gaining valuable industry-specific experience.
Chuck's philosophy as chief legal officer is deeply rooted in the belief that exceptional customer service is fundamental to legal practice. By prioritizing transparency, responsiveness and proactive problem-solving, Chuck ensures that legal strategies are aligned with Tecsys' commitment to delivering outstanding value to its customers, where precision and reliability are paramount.
Chuck holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in from the University of Michigan. Outside of his professional role, Chuck enjoys reading literature and detective noir, and is dedicated to fitness, balancing a demanding career with a healthy lifestyle.

Shannon believes that we are the best stewards of our brand when we are led by passion for customer success. With more than 25 years of experience developing and executing strategic B2B marketing and communications plans, she brings a wealth of expertise to the Tecsys marketing organization across digital, global corporate and product marketing initiatives. In her spare time, you may find her Peloton pushing her to her limits, where she embraces both the challenge and the reward of hard work and continuous improvement.
Shannon joined Tecsys from Intelex, where she served as CMO. Prior to Intelex, she was vice president of Industry Marketing at SAP where she built the company’s first Global Integrated Demand Team dedicated to supporting Enterprise and Mid-Market sectors. She has likewise held various global and regional marketing leadership roles at IBM and PwC Consulting. Her diverse career has also included editorial, marketing, and public relations roles in both consumer electronics and publishing industries, and she is the author of three highly acclaimed books.

Bill understands that delivering customer success requires discipline, sharp planning, and flawless execution at every step of the journey, skills he hones both at Tecsys and in his spare time as an avid IRONMAN competitor. This approach drives his laser focus on helping customer organizations build winning supply chains through Tecsys’ go-to-market strategy and expansion.
Bill has a remarkable track record of empowering companies to overcome complexity by leveraging technology. Prior to joining Tecsys, he held executive sales leadership positions at Oracle in the North American Sales organization, most recently as vice president of key accounts and previously as group vice president of North America Storage Sales. Prior to Oracle, Bill was with Fujitsu for over a decade and held a variety of executive management positions. These included executive vice president of the Platform Product Group in the Americas and executive vice president of the Global Retail Business. Bill draws from this wealth of experience to help Tecsys customers establish their path for long-term success.

Martin joined Tecsys in 2021 and leads this important responsibility to equip customers with innovative and mission-critical supply chain capabilities. As a seasoned and high-caliber individual, he guides overall product strategy and spearheads product development from architecture to delivery. Martin and his team truly embrace quality and scalability in order to meet challenges and drive business results.
Martin brings over 25 years’ experience in software development. He is a global R&D business leader with a strong record in building robust and effective product development teams. Prior to joining Tecsys, Martin worked for Nokia where he led an internationally distributed team of 500+ engineers delivering on product architecture, development and support. His experience and perspective help to serve Tecsys’ R&D department and make a positive contribution to the evolution of its offering.

Dave Brereton is a Canadian technology entrepreneur, investor, and business leader with more than four decades of experience building and scaling enterprise software companies. He is the founder and current Chair of Tecsys Inc., a global provider of supply chain execution solutions, which he founded in 1983 and has grown from a startup into a publicly traded, international SaaS business. Over his career, Dave has also been an active early-stage investor in technology ventures and currently leads private investment activities through Dabre, focusing on high-potential software and innovation-driven companies.
Beyond business, Dave is deeply committed to purpose-driven leadership and global impact. He has served as a volunteer in senior leadership roles with Youth for Christ for more than 30 years and is currently the CEO of Youth for Christ International, contributing to initiatives that support and develop young people worldwide. He also founded a fully accredited high school in Montréal dedicated to serving marginalised youth. Known for integrating faith, values, and leadership, Dave brings a distinctive perspective that bridges entrepreneurial success with long-term social and spiritual investment.

Through 31 years in the investment industry, Vernon helped build several companies from startup to acquisition or public listing, ten of which achieved valuations in excess of $100 million. Earlier in his career, Vernon was a consultant with McKinsey & Company and software engineer at Nortel Networks. Vernon sits on the boards of several public and private companies. Sripriya (Priya) Thinagar is a CEO, board director, and technology executive with over 25 years of global leadership experience across supply chain, financial services, healthcare, and enterprise technology. She is the Founder and CEO of ManoloAI, a data and AI firm focused on helping retail and supply chain organizations define and execute strategies that drive operational efficiency, innovation, and growth.
Priya currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tecsys (TSX: TCS), a publicly traded global supply chain software company, where she contributes to the Audit and Compensation Committees and advises on technology strategy, governance, and risk management.
Previously, she was EVP of Technology at Olo (NYSE: OLO), where she led Product, Engineering, Design, and Data organizations, scaling digital platforms serving more than 80 million users. She drove AI-enabled product innovation, led strategic acquisitions, and strengthened governance practices. Prior to Olo, she was Vice President of R&D at Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), where she led global teams across warehouse, transportation, and store systems, advancing the transition to cloud-native supply chain platforms. She also held senior leadership roles at Bank of America, delivering large-scale product and technology transformations that drove revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Kathleen (Kathy) Miller, CPA, is an experienced independent director and former global CFO and COO with more than 30 years of leadership across SaaS, fintech, and technology companies. She has held Board Chair, Audit, Compensation, and Governance Committee roles for both public and private equity-backed organizations, and is recognized for driving growth, improving profitability, and guiding companies through successful IPOs and exits.
Miller brings deep expertise in finance, M&A, governance, and risk management, including ESG, AI, and cybersecurity oversight. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at Tecsys, and holds board leadership roles across several technology and SaaS companies, where she advises on strategy, operational scaling, and transformation initiatives.
Earlier in her executive career, Miller held senior leadership roles including CFO of Nitro Software, where she played a key role in accelerating recurring revenue growth and leading the company’s IPO, and CFO/COO of nCourt, where she oversaw significant operational expansion and helped drive a successful private equity-backed exit.
Miller holds a Master of Studies in Law from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Alfred University, and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford University in corporate governance and board leadership

David Booth is an experienced global technology executive, investor, and board director with decades of leadership across enterprise software, data management, and IT services who currently serves as a Board Member at Tecsys Inc., where he contributes strategic oversight and governance informed by deep operating experience in scaling global technology organizations.
Booth has held senior executive roles across leading multinational technology companies. He served as President and Managing Director of Compaq Canada, where he led significant growth and market expansion, and later held global leadership roles at Computer Sciences Corporation, including President of Global Sales and Marketing. Earlier in his career, he held executive positions at Hewlett‑Packard and Digital Equipment Corporation, building expertise in enterprise technology solutions, go‑to‑market strategy, and large‑scale operational leadership.
He also served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Back Office Associates, a global provider of data management solutions, where he led the company through a period of transformation and growth, strengthening its market position in enterprise data quality and governance.
In addition to his executive career, Booth is an active investor and board member, bringing a strong perspective on digital transformation, data strategy, and operational scalability. He has also been involved in academic governance as a member of the Board of Regents at Mount Allison University.
Booth holds an undergraduate degree from Mount Allison University and has been recognized with an honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) for his contributions to business leadership and the technology sector.
